A reminder for when stop lights are not working

Whether or not you have power, you'll most likely still be affected when you hit the roads.

Power outages have caused many stop lights to quit working.

That's the case on Colonial Avenue near Towers Shopping Center.

Some police officers have started directing traffic, but that's not the case for every light.

"A lot of people are running stop lights, if they see a line of traffic going, they'll follow that traffic and keep going without even looking," said driver Larry Sloan.

Keep in mind that if you come to a light that's not working, treat it as a stop sign.

Remember there is no "right of way" when stop lights are out.
