The Salem Veterans Affairs Community Based Outpatient Clinics in Danville, Staunton, Tazewell, and Wytheville are now all fully operational.

The Salem Veterans Affairs' Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Wytheville has reopened. The facility had been closed following Friday's storm and subsequent power outages.
However, the Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Lynchburg remains closed.
It's not clear when the clinic will reopen.
Appointments will be rescheduled for a later date.

The Salem Veterans Affairs Medical Center's Community Based Outpatient clinics in Lynchburg, Wytheville, and Staunton are closed until Thursday because of power outages.

The Salem Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center Community Based Outpatient Clinics located in Lynchburg, Wytheville, and Staunton, Virginia are closed until Thursday, July 5, 2012 due to power outages as a result of recent severe weather.
The status of the clinics will be revaluated at that time and updates will be publicized.
Veterans’ appointments will be rescheduled for a future date. Clinic staff at the closed facilities are to report to the Salem VA Medical Center Primary Care Office or Mental Health office for further instructions.
Veterans may contact the Salem VA Medical Center with any questions at 540-982-2463 or toll free at 1-888-982-2463 and follow the menu instructions. Updates will also be posted at the Salem VA Medical Center web site www.salem.va.gov and on the Salem VAMC Facebook page.

The center says Monday's closure is a result of a power outage. Veterans with scheduled appointments for Monday will be contacted to reschedule for a future date.
The center is asking all clinic staff to report to the Salem VA Medical Center Primary Care office or Mental Health office for further instructions.
