( Courtesy DEC / September 12, 2012 ) The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation responded to the fuel barge Leo Wednesday, after it experienced a leak from a 340,200-gallon gasoline tank. Crew members of the tug Altair traced the leak to a two-inch fracture (circled in red), which has since been "effectively stopped" by a temporary seal. |
