Photo courtesy of News7 viewerMeadWestvaco is still investigating the cause of a fire that started early Sunday morning at its plant in Covington.
No one was hurt.
A spokesperson from the Covington paper mill tells News7 the fire started shortly after midnight at the bottom of a tall steel structure that scrapes across the wood chip pile and makes the chips go into the mill.
Firefighters from Covington and several surrounding departments were able to extinguish the flames in about an hour.
The fire is not expected to affect production.
