Though it's not for lack of help from the public.

State police have gotten several tips over the last few days and from that possible leads on where Kingery could be, though nothing concrete yet.

However, authorities have reason to believe Kingery who's accused of killing his wife is in the United States.

Tuesday, News7 caught up with a former colleague of Rose Kingery where she spent hours volunteering at a Senior care facility on Peters Creek Road.

Scott Maxey, says because of her work the last three years with the Santa for Seniors project - hundreds of senior citizens in this area had something to open for Christmas.

"Our hearts are heavy. When someone as good and a sweet soul like Rose, they're taken from us, there is a void that's left," says Scott Maxey, who worked with murder victim.

In addition to her volunteer work, Rose commuted from Hardy to Roanoke to work here at Friendship Retirement Community where she was the recreational leader in the health and rehab center.

A spokeswoman says the entire community of Friendship sends its condolences to family and friends and and that they are cooperating with authorities in this investigation.

An investigation getting ready to enter it's ninth day since a family member first reported Rose and her husband missing.
