Non-profit organization Healing Strides threw it's annual fundraiser, complete with kids games, treats, and music- and they were also showing what the organization does, therapy through working with horses.A hoe-down for a heartfelt cause. That's what was going on in Boones Mill.
Non-profit organization Healing Strides threw it's annual fundraiser, complete with kids games, treats, and music- and they were also showing what the organization does, therapy through working with horses.
"We can assist people with physical disabilities, mental disabilities, emotional challenges. They come out and they get to ride and they learn to use muscles and sensory perception, things that they haven't had to use before," says Linda Gray.
Organizers hoped to raise 25-thousand dollars on Saturday.
Healing Strides helps all ages including children who previously couldn't walk on their own.
