Amherst County man faces new charges of indecent exposure

The man accused of exposing himself at several Lynchburg colleges is now facing charges for doing the same thing at Virginia Tech.

Police say 31-year-old Joel Wooldridge of Monroe went into the women's restroom of Tech's West Ambler Johnston dormitory back in August.

Witnesses say he was watching women in the shower stalls and performing sexual acts on himself.

He had been working in the dorm that day as a contractor.

Wooldridge is now in a Lynchburg jail, where he was already facing charges of indecent exposure and trespassing in the Hill City.

Police arrested Wooldridge last week on charges that he performed lude acts at Randolph College, Lynchburg College, Central Virginia Community College, and outside homes along Boonsboro and Langhorne Roads.

Investigators say security footage shows Wooldridge encountering a women in a CVCC restroom.
