Suspect arrested in Amherst counterfeit money cases

A Massies Mill man is accused of passing bad money at businesses in Madison Heights.

33-year-old James J. Hill is charged with three counts of passing forged currency.

Investigators say he used counterfeit cash to pay for items at McDonalds, a Stop-In Convenience Store, and a Hess Wilco gas station on Saturday, November 7.

Hill is also charged with possession of marijuana.  He is being held without bond with a scheduled court date of February 18.
