Recently, Jennifer Andrus bought a Maximum Millions lottery ticket at the Hunter Hill convenience store in Lexington and lost.
However, when she came back to the store later that day for another try, she got a much different result, to the tune of one million dollars.It seems the second time was the charm for one lucky woman in Rockbridge County.
Recently, Jennifer Andrus bought a Maximum Millions lottery ticket at the Hunter Hill convenience store in Lexington and lost.
However, when she came back to the store later that day for another try, she got a much different result, to the tune of one million dollars.
At first, she and the store's clerk were in a state of disbelief.
"Obviously, I couldn't believe my eyes, so I had to go have Hysen double check and make sure I wasn't seeing things. And then of course I ran around to everybody in the store and ask[ed] if they were seeing the same thing me and Hysen were seeing, of course they said 'yes'," said Jennifer Andrus, lottery winner.
Andrus accepted her prize at the store Friday. She says her the first plan for new newfound riches is to pay off some bills.
