
RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- Gov. Tim Kaine is visiting flood-ravaged neighborhoods in Hampton, where officials put the structural damage from a wet and windy storm at $3 million.
Kaine stopped in the Riverdale section of Hampton on Saturday, and he said he would seek federal assistance to help people rebuild.
Kaine was joined by several Virginia congressmen on his tour.
They assured residents they would seek federal emergency aid. Kaine's also scheduled to visit Norfolk.
