
Comic fans made their way to the Roanoke Valley Comic-Con show Saturday afternoon.
A number of collectors were combing through boxes in hopes of finishing their comic collections.

Vendors from as far as Florida and Washington D.C. brought their comic books, action figures and other collectibles to the show.
The promoter says over time he's noticed the comic book hobby is attracting an older age group.
"It seems it's a very good release from the everyday stresses of life, so they find their escape out here in the super hero and fantasy world," says Chris Garbee.
