A 15 year-old boy is in custody after shooting at police with an air rifle in Danville.
It all started Wednesday around 9:15 a.m. in the 500 block of Chatham Avenue when the boy shot his mother.
By the time police arrived, the boy had barricaded himself in an upstairs room and started shooting at them with the air rifle.
One officer was shot while he was getting out of his car.
Officers eventually took the teenager into custody.
He's facing several charges including felony assault for shooting an officer.
That officer wasn't seriously injured and later returned to duty.
