October: Fine wine is the perfect compliment to great food, events this month

With over 20 different vineyards to choose from, you'll be sure to find a wine for everyone on your holiday list this year - and an extra bottle or two for yourself.

More of a beer connoisseur? Cross the finish line at the 17th annual Hartford ING Marathon and earn yourself a freebie after the race. The 26.2 mile course spans throughout the greater Hartford community. Stop after the race at one of Hartford's great restaurants to refuel.

October is also the perfect month to pick your own pumpkins and embrace the fall foliage. Check out some of Connecticut's orchards with your family for a fun fall afternoon.
