'Superheroes' save cat from fire
Batman, Captain America happen upon house fire in West Virginia
Holy heroics, Batman!
Two men in superhero costumes -- including one dressed as the Caped Crusader himself -- beat firefighters to the scene of a blaze in West Virginia and rescued a cat from a burning home, Charleston TV station WCHS reported.
Batman and Captain America, also known as John Buckland and Troy Marcum, were talking with a group of children at an American Legion in Milton on Saturday when they saw smoke and sprang into action.
The homeowners were gone, but the pair shattered a glass window and found the unconscious cat inside.
Buckland, an Iraq veteran who also used to be a firefighter, used his prior training to resuscitate the animal.
"The cat comes around, takes a look at me, then hissed," Buckland told WCHS.
