Green Beans with Lamb
Recipe from Lebanese Festival

1 large onion chopped
1 lb. lamb, in cubes or small chunks (may use beef if preferred)
1 lb. green beans
2 Tablespoons olive oil
2 small cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 large can tomato sauce (may use diced or pureed tomatoes, or even a garlic & herb sauce); save can
Salt and pepper to taste
Allspice (optional)  small amount; 1/8 - 1/4  teaspoon

Saute’ onions, garlic and meat in olive oil.  Add beans and salt, then tomato sauce and spices.  Add 1/2  can water, cover,  and simmer about 15-20 minutes, or until beans are tender.  Serve over rice.
