1 large onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic , chopped
3 TBL. olive oil
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 lb. lean ground turkey
6 Andouille New Orleans style saugage, remove casing and cut into small cubes
2-15 oz.cans tomato sauce
1 6oz. can tomato paste
2 15oz. cans diced tomatoes
2 15oz cans original rotel tomatoes /green chilies
1 11oz jar pepper/onion relish
1 cup water
4 TBL.sugar
1 15oz can kidney beans
1/2 cup chili powder
1 12oz. bottle lager beer
1 Tbl. salt
In a large dutch oven or heavy skillet add olive oil ,onions, garlic, ground beef, turkey and sausage. Cook and stir on medium heat until meat is brown, drain excess fat from meat. Remove to a large pot, add remaining ingredients, except beer, mix well, Reduce heat to low and simmer covered for 1 hour, add beer and continue cooking for 30 mins.stir and serve hot with your favorite cracker.
