Mom's Amazing Chili

2 lb. ground lean beef

3-15.5 oz cans of light red kidney beans

1- 64 oz can tomato juice

1- 1.25 oz package chili seasoning

3-tsp garlic powder

1/2-cup russian dressing

1/2-cup chopped onion

1/4-cup cornmeal

1/2-cup water

Brown ground beef and drain. Add onion and water, cook for 5 minutes.  Add remaining ingredients except cornmeal, bring to a boil, then lower heat to med and cook for two hours, stirring occasionally. Return chili to boiling.  Mix cornmeal with just enough water to make thin paste and add to chili mixture.  Stir chili while adding cornmeal to prevent clumping.  Chili will thicken slightly, remove from heat and serve.  Serves 10
