The horses fell or slid down into the ravine.  One horse was able to walk out of the predicament on his own power, but two of the horses needed to be airlifted to safety.

The Orange County Fire Authority sent a helicopter to the scene, Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Marc Stone said.

The horses were part of an annual ride from south Orange County to Corona that is organized by the Norco Outriders, the Orange County Register reported.

One organizer said the riders weren't seriously injured.
