Wilderness Battlefield, Orange Couny and Spotsylvania County, Va.
This Civil War battlefield saw more than 25,000 casualties during a two-day battle between Union and Confederate soldiers. Now, Wal-Mart wants to build a new store within the historic boundaries, according to the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
