What's new? The school has added three new Promethean interactive boards to bring the total to six in the district.

How have the 10 percent state budget cuts affected your school for the 2011-12 school year? Elimination of salary increases for the staff, cutting budgets and using all of the “reserves” to balance the school's budget for the 2011-12 school year. The “reserves” are used to pay bills, salaries and expenses during the summer months. The school board is investigating a number of ideas to cope with the state funding reduction, including co-oping the superintendent's position with a neighboring district, reduction of staff, a four-day week and another opt-out.

What's new? New bleachers and press box at the football field; completed the elementary and grades 7-12 bathroom remodeling project.

How have the 10 percent state budget cuts affected your school for the 2011-12 school year? Eliminated a teacher through attrition and will not rehire that position. Summer camp program for elementary was eliminated. The summer recreation program was also cut. Across the board there have been no raises in the district for the past two years. No essential programs have been cut yet, but program cuts may need to occur in the near future.
