Kaylee A. Bahr of Aberdeen was one of 12 recipients of the 2011-12 Health Care Education Scholarships by the Northern Plains Eye Foundation. The scholarships are awarded to high school seniors pursuing full-time, health care-related studies at a college, university or technical institution.
Kate Moorman and Maureen Schuchardt of Aberdeen were among summer online graduates from Kaplan University in Chicago, Ill. Moorman earned a degree in criminal justice, and Schuchardt earned a degree in higher education.
Laura Dickinson-Lee of Aberdeen graduated with honors from the Milwaukee School of Engineering with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. Students with a cumulative grade point average between 3.20 and 3.69 earn honors recognition.
David Holkesvik, a graduate of Aberdeen Central High School, received the Trustees Scholarship from Augustana College in Sioux Falls. This award is based on outstanding academic record and performance in the Distinguished Scholars Competition.
Pfc. Michael Mulder has completed basic training at Fort Sill, Okla., and is stationed in Fort Lee, Va., for advanced individual training. Mulder will be a junior at North Dakota State University in Fargo, majoring in criminal justice. He is the son of Karen and Gregory Booker of Aberdeen and Mark and Lynette Mulder of Ipswich.
