Republicans rally in Lynchburg

As we get closer to some major elections, Governor Bob McDonnell has some big plans for the state.

“If I can get elected more fiscal conservative Republicans in the Senate that are going to be more interested in entrepreneurial reforms I think there's a lot more we can do for the people of Virginia,” McDonnell said. “We're working hard and I ask the people of Virginia to support these great Republicans candidates on Tuesday.”

Top Republicans from Richmond turned out in Lynchburg Sunday for a last big push of local GOP candidates before Election Day.

Governor Bob McDonnell, Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling and Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli attended the victory rally and showed their support.

Congressman Robert Hurt addressed the voters too.

“The big deal is calling your neighbors, friends and neighbors, and getting them out to the polls because it'll be a lower than usual turnout and whoever can turn out their team is going to do real well,” Hurt said.

That same group made its way to another GOP victory rally in the Danville area at the Blairs Fire Hall.
