ROANOKE, Va. -

The former UKrop’s building in Roanoke is making a lot of buzz these days.

Valley Bank owns the property off of Franklin Road.

Representatives with the bank told WDBJ 7 on Friday that a lot of companies have expressed interest in the building, but they wouldn't give specifics for confidentiality reasons.

Valley Bank's President and CEO Ellis Gutshall said there's been so much interest in the building because the economy is starting to make a turn around.

Gutshall said the companies are verbally expressing interest and that no formal agreement has been made at this point.

UKrop’s closed in 2009 after a two year run in Roanoke.
