Moderation is a tricky word.

Everyone has the foods they love and want and need and are delicious, but may not be good for you.

I have many of these foods, but that's another story.

Registered Dietitian Don Mankie joined me on Fit Friday this morning.  He says watching the serving sizes is half the battle.  Sometimes serving sizes are much smaller than we would expect. 

Some of the most common items that could have deceptive serving sizes; trail mix, ice cream, potato chips and many other snacks. 

Mankie recommends actually looking at your nutrition labels.  If you learn how to understand those labels you may quickly learn how much is too much.

Take a look at your most commonly eaten snacks in your pantry and actually measure out what the recommended serving size is for those foods.
