ROANOKE, Va. -

If you have an opinion on whether Roanoke City Council members deserve raises or not you can voice it Monday.

There's a public hearing on that issue at the council's meeting tonight at seven at city hall.

Council members are considering giving themselves 28% raises bringing their salaries to $20,000 a year.

The mayor would get a 15% raise to a $28,000 salary.

The council plans to vote on the issue June 3rd.
