Richmond woman faces murder charge in newborn's death
RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -

A Richmond woman accused of leaving her newborn daughter in a dumpster has been charged with first-degree murder.

Media outlets report that a grand jury indicted 27-year-old ShaVaughn Robinson on Wednesday.

Richmond Circuit Court Judge Gregory L. Rupe ordered that Robinson will remain in jail without bond.

A janitor found the infant's body in a plastic trash bag in a dumpster on May 28.

Richmond prosecutor Janae Craddock says the infant died from asphyxiation.
