Roanoke 911 dispatchers put a face to a voice
Dispatchers with the 911 call center in Roanoke are putting a face to a voice with a new video.
The emergency call center just released a video on its website to give residents a chance to meet the people they will deal with in the case of an emergency.
Dispatchers say the video was created to help remind people that it's okay to call 911 at anytime for anything.
"We're here to help them, but we want them to know that the face behind the voice that they talk to is also a face just like theirs," said dispatcher Beverly Orange.
Orange says she wants locals to know dispatchers have families and that they understand the stress when an emergency is happening.
The video features the dispatcher's children and you can view the entire video, just CLICK HERE.
