Roanoke County Parks and Recreation offers many choices to keep kids busy this summer
ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. -

Summer break is just now starting for many students in our area.  If your child is too young to get a summer job, you might be wondering about ways to fill their free time.

Roanoke County Parks and Recreation  is one option. They're offering day and overnight camps for kids ages three to 17.

For working parents who need somewhere for their children to go to during the day, there is both Kids in Camp and Green Ridge Summer Day Camp. Both are designed for rising first through fifth graders. They offer daily activities and field trips.

This year, Roanoke County is also offering dozens of themed half-day programs.

If you want to register for any of the camps, or just find out more information about them, check them out here on the parks and rec web site.
