A Franklin County organization is helping to keep people warm during this cold winter.

The Southern Virginia Child Advocacy Center sponsors the Jolly Jacket Outreach Program. It is a seasonal program and grows every year.

“The numbers are just staggering. When we first started the program we probably served maybe 40, 50 individuals, Last year we distributed over 280 different items,” said Executive Officer Joyce Moran.

They also give out gloves, mittens and hats. If you want to help, you can donate to the advocacy center in Franklin County.
