ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. -

There was a rewind in time at Green Hill Park in Roanoke County for 12th Annual Green Hill Park Medieval Faire and Highland Games.

There was sword fighting, music and entertainment. Enthusiast also dressed in period clothing. An event organizer says the event is a great way for families to spend time with each other and learn a bit of history.

“Once you enter the fair ground, it's as if you're in a medieval village and you tour the village and you experience all of the wonderful things that you would have if you were here during King Arthur's Court,” said event organizer, Wendi Schultz.

Not only was this a time to dress like those from the medieval era, but food from the time period was also served.
