BEDFORD, Va. -

Employers from across the region are recruiting new workers in Bedford.

The Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting its second annual job fair.

Dozens of companies ranging from health care to education are sharing information with job seekers.  Some people are walking away with appointments to come back for a formal interview.

Experts are also hosting workshops on topics like creating a resume.

Organizers of the event say its a great way for businesses in Lynchburg and Roanoke to find new employees.

"I think you will find that a lot of folks live in Bedford and commute one way or the other, so there's a lot of available talent right here," said Susan Martin, president and CEO of the Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce.

The job fair runs through 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Bedford campus of Central Virginia Community College.
