Brookville High School has named an interim coach for the 2013 football season.
Marshall Schmitt has been tabbed to take over the two-time defending champs. Former coach Jeff Woody left Brookville to become the coach at Monticello.
Schmitt is a Brookville graduate and a long-time assistant.
“He is very knowledgeable and well-respected in the community,” Brookville principal Tom Cole wrote in a news release.
The Bees won the state championship in 2011 and 2012. Brookville has won its past 28 games.
