ROANOKE, Va. -

On Monday, more than 200 kids from across the United States came to Roanoke to volunteer in the community.

Volunteers, ages 13 to 21, spent time at the Madonna House, Habitat for Humanity, the Roanoke Rescue Mission, and several other organizations.

They're part of the program Catholic Heart Workcamp.

This is a Christ-centered ministry where campers go to different cities for one week and make a difference by volunteering at organizations.

This program has 14,000 campers this year spread out over 32 states.
