CHATHAM, Va. -

A new dress code remains under review after parents and students told Pittsylvania County school leaders, it's too much.

Chatham Middle School adopted the new dress code this school year.

It states students are allowed to wear polo and button up shirts that are tucked into pants or shorts.

They aren't allowed to wear T-shirts with big logos, low rise pants, or piercings.

Some parents have told the board they have to buy new clothes to meet the new requirements.

The principal and parent-teacher organization plan to look at the dress code again this week.
