Thanks to you- some sick kids will have something to smile about...

We told you nearly two-weeks ago, how the group: "Cheer 4 Savannah" was collecting toys for patients at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital.

At that time, they only had about 200-toys, but once you, the WDBJ7's viewers saw the story- YOU responded!

Sunday morning, the Day family loaded about 700-toys into a SUV donated by Magic City Ford.

This cause is near and dear to the Day family, Savannah Day had brain surgery and was at the hospital over last Christmas.

That's when she and her sisters decided to turn a tough situation into a one that could help others.

During their Christmas toy drive they collected and donated more than 5-thousand toys.

"Before it was just a toy drive for all the kids that are sick, but now they pick out certain toys because they know the kids names, because they visit them, and they know the families and the stories. So, now when they go shopping for these toys they know exactly what to get them because they've become very close with the families," explains Savannah's mom, Michelle Day.

The family recently learned the youngest daughter, Chloe -also has the same brain malformation that forced Savannah to have surgery.

Meaning the family will continue to visit the hospital.

In addition to donating toys to the center in Cincinnati, the family collects and donates toys to area hospitals.
