A Christiansburg man who stopped for a sandwich on his way to work recently is now $150,000 wealthier.

David Wright won the money on the “$150 Grand” game, which is a Virginia Lottery Scratcher ticket.

He bought the ticket at the Express Stop on Cleburne Boulevard in Dublin. Wright didn’t tell anyone in the store that he had one.

“I was thinking how hot it’s going to be today,” Wright told lottery officials, according to a news release. “Then I scratched the ticket and said, ‘Not today!’”

This is the fourth top prize won in the “150 Grand” game. That means one top-prize ticket is still unclaimed.
