Speed, dexterity and accuracy.
All - are key in "dog agility."
It's a sport where a handler and his K-9 work together to get through an obstacle course.
Dogs go through tunnels, jumps and weave their way through poles to show who's "top dog."
Sunday's event is a sanctioned agility trial and can earn the dogs qualifying scores to go toward titles.
While it's a lot of fun for the competitors, it can be challenging at times.
"It's probably one of the hardest thing for new dogs to get used to is just the atmosphere with so many dogs and people and people playing with their dogs, but usually once they've come a couple times, and they start getting comfortable with the atmosphere, they do pretty well," explains Andrea Lengi of All-American Dog Sports.
The weekend long trial was the fourth in Blacksburg.
Lengi says All-American Dog Sports hopes to do another in April.
