LYNCHBURG, Va. -

Students at Central Virginia Community College will have to take a detour on their way to class this fall.  The main entrance to the campus is blocked by construction.

Harvard Street is being widened between the CVCC campus and Wards Road.  The change is designed to accommodate increased traffic from the new Liberty University tunnel, which is feeding more vehicles into the intersection.

Sidewalks and pedestrians crosswalks are also being added.  The work will continue through November.

During the construction period, students and faculty will have to access CVCC from the back entrance on Wards Ferry Road.
