ROANOKE, Va. -

If you're a Disney fan, Roanoke was the place to be today.

You may recognize Chuck Lionberger as the spokesperson for Roanoke County Schools, but he's also an avid Disney fan.

Lionberger was joined by nationally-recognized Disney historians to share little-known insights and have a little fun over the course of the two day event.
The event, called Mousekemeets is raising money for the Make-A-Wish.

"Disney is a magical place, and we know that part of the recovery for these kids as they recover from some really tough situations is to have a little bit of magic. So if we can do our part to share that magic, we're happy to do that," Lionberger said.

Lionberger says he was told by Make-A-Wish, that 60% of wishes are a trip to one of the Disney Parks.

The festivities end tonight with a Friday the 13th dinner to commemorate Disney's haunted house.
