Power has been restored, according to Appalachian Power.
Appalachian Power is restoring power to 360 customers in the Masons Cove area of Roanoke County.
A high voltage power line fell for some unknown reason Tuesday morning. That line snapped the support wire for a telephone line leaving wires drooping across Bradshaw Road.
The downed line affected traffic on Bradshaw including buses trying to get into and out of the parking lot of Masons Cove Elementary School. Roanoke County Schools Spokesperson Chuck Lionberger says the students from those buses will not be counted as tardy at their respective schools.
Appalachian Power estimates that power will be restored to the school and the other customers affected by the outage by 10:00 a.m.
