It's going to be the battle of the fittest and the fastest at the second annual Smith Mountain Lake Dragon Boat Race and festival. The fundraiser raises money for the Presbyterian Community Center.

The center's program helps fight homelessness and provides food for its pantry. The event is free but donations are accepted.

“It makes all the difference to keep someone in their home, safely housed; keep them from having to give up everything they've known and becoming homeless. It makes all the difference in the world,” said event manager Karen McNally.

The organization raised $10,000 last year. "Your Hometown News Leader," WDBJ7 will be also participating tomorrow.
