MONTGOMERY CO., Va. -

Montgomery County deputies say one person is hurt after a crash just outside the Radford Army Ammunition Plant on Monday night.

Deputies say a green Mercury Mountaineer crashed into a Ford Tempo, which was trying to make a U-Turn on Peppers Ferry Road.

The woman driving the Tempo was airlifted to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Deputies say she was conscious when she left the scene.

Deputies say they'll charge her with failure to yield to the right of way.

Peppers Ferry Road was closed for some time, but is now open.
