Two new road construction projects will effect drivers in part of our region Monday.
Work will begin this week on a bridge that crosses Wynn Creek on Route 360 in Halifax County. Starting Monday crews will begin repairing damage from an accident that happened earlier this month. The Virginia Department of Transportation says drivers on this road should expect delays.
In Alleghany County, crews will begin work along Route 220.
VDOT will be replacing a drainage pipe in Covington, just north of Route 684 (Dunbrack Road). This section of 220 will be closed to all traffic. A detour will be set up.
A closure will be put in place Monday morning at 8 a.m. Crews hope to have the work finished by 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
