SALEM, Va. -

A Salem smoothie restaurant is moving to a larger space - across the street.

Elderberry's is moving into a building on the Roanoke College campus on North College Avenue. The new location is triple the size of where it is now and will allow for a larger dining area, conference space and expanded menu options.

While the space will no longer look like a classroom, Elderberry's hopes to maintain that learning atmosphere.

"I feel like this is a good training ground for that. We can certainly work with different students for their classes. Be a hands on type of environment for them. Again another win-win types of situation," Owner Diane Elder said.

The new location will open in mid-August, just in time for the start of fall classes.
