BEDFORD CO., Va. -

An investigation by Bedford County Sheriff’s Office beginning in early 2013 resulted in four people facing charges for their involvement in a burglary ring.

According to a news release, it was determined that all the crimes were committed in order to obtain funds for heroin.

Beginning in early 2013, interviews were conducted and some of the stolen property was recovered and returned to owners.

Crimes and suspects centered around the south side of the county. These include the following:

Jason Hall was charged on January 15 with one count of burglary, one count of grand larceny, and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in relation to a burglary in the 1300 block of Walnut Shell Road in Vinton.

As of August 20, Jason Hall and Brandon Bowden were each charged with one count of burglary, one count of grand larceny, and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon related to the Walnut Shell Road burglary.

On September 23, Jason Hall and Leigha Hall were each charged with one count of credit card larceny and four counts of credit card fraud in relation to the larceny of a credit card at the 100 block of Big Bear Run in Vinton.

Between September 24 and October 1, Jason Hall and Leigha Hall were each charged with grand larceny of jewelry totaling over $10,000 related to an incident at Big Bear Run in Vinton.

As of September 26, Jason Hall, Leigha Hall and a juvenile suspect were each charged with burglary and grand larceny related to a burglary in the 1600 block of Halesford Road in Moneta. Jason Hall was also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Jason Hall is charged with a total of four counts of burglary, five counts of grand larceny, one count of larceny of a credit card, four counts of credit card fraud, and four counts of possession of a firearm by a felon.

Leigha Hall is charged with a total of one count of burglary, two counts of grand larceny, one count of larceny of a credit card, and four counts of credit card fraud.

Brandon Bowden faces two counts of burglary, two counts of grand larceny, and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon.

The juvenile involved in the Halesford Road burglary has also been charged with breaking and entering and grand larceny.

Additional charges that may be filed in relation to these incidents are still pending.
