Students missed a lot of school with that big winter storm.

Now it's time to make it up.

Franklin County schools announced Friday morning that early release days will now turn into full school days.

Students will attend school all day on February 28th and May 28th and March 17. School officials say it's important to make up the days especially with SOL's on the way.

“The tests are still coming and so we don't get a break from that. So we need every day, getting ready for them, getting our students prepared,” Superintendent Mark Church said.

Winter is not over, so the school system says they do have other make up days in the works if needed.
