RICHMOND, Va. -

The candidates for governor will talk about their plans for the Commonwealth's colleges and universities today.

It's one of the highlights of the 20-13 Virginia Summit on Economic Competitiveness and Higher Education.

That event runs from nine this morning until four this afternoon at the Greater Richmond Convention Center.

The focus of the summit is the connection between the quality of higher education and the strength of the economy.

While the candidates will lay out their higher education plans, they will not debate one another.
