BLACKSBURG, Va. -

Governor Terry McAuliffe will deliver the commencement address this year at Virginia Tech.

This ceremony is May 16 in Blacksburg.

Having the newly-elected governor speak to graduates is becoming a tradition in Blacksburg.

Since 1990 with Doug Wilder, every governor the spring after the election has addressed the crowd.

A spokesperson for Governor McAuliffe says he may speak at one additional graduation this year at another Virginia college or university.
