HALIFAX CO., Va. -

UPDATE: According to the sheriff in Halifax County, Mary Lee Lambert and Lillian Rickmond, who were previously reported missing in Halifax County, have both been found safe in the Virginia Beach area.

Deputies are searching for two seniors who have been missing for more than a day.

The women are Mary Lee Lambert and Lillian Rickmond.

Halifax County deputies say they left a family member's home in Dinwiddie County around two Thursday afternoon.

They haven't been heard from since.

They were driving a gold Chevrolet Impala.

The families of both women say they have very early signs of dementia.

If you've seen them, call police.

At approximately 2:00pm on 2-20-2014 Mary Lee Lambert, 87 years old, and Lillian
Snead Rickmond, 79 years old, both of Scottsburg, VA ( Halifax County) left a family member’s residence in the 7400 block of Vaughan Road in Dinwiddie County driving back to their homes in Scottsburg. They did not make it home and have not been heard from or seen since. Mrs. Lambert was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Impala gold in color with Virginia handicapped plates 32-9488. Both ladies have been described by their families as having very early signs of the onset of dementia.

Mary Lee Lambert is described as being 5’7” tall and weighing 115lbs and a frail build, grey hair and brown eyes and wears glasses.

Lillian Snead Rickmond is described as being 5’5” tall 160lbs with grey hair and green eyes.
