BLACKSBURG, Va. -

Hanging out with bugs isn't something most people enjoy.

That wasn't the case at a camp in Blacksburg on Tuesday.

The first annual Hokie Bug Camp got underway.

Students ages 9 to 13 spent the day at Virginia Tech learning about entomology.

The camp covers basic insect identification, pinning, and collection.

The kids even got to take home their own bug collection kit.

Students also learned about mosquitoes and disease.
